Parks of Poinciana
The pride of Poinciana is our parks and recreation facilities. It is important that residents and visitors of Poinciana not only enjoy the parks and facilities, but also feel safe using them.
That is why our Public Works Department has a special division that maintains our parks daily to assure that equipment in the parks is safe to use. While you are enjoying the park, if you see anything that needs attention please call Public Works at 863-427-0900 ext 201.
All of Poinciana's beautiful parks are open from dawn until dusk 7 days a week.
In addition, every park and playground in Poinciana are owned by the members of the Association of Poinciana, and managed by FirstService Residential, by direction of the Board of Directors.

Poinciana's Great Outdoors
The Association of Poinciana Villages is surrounded by beautiful parks. The 12,000-acre Disney Wilderness Preserve is an outdoor lover’s paradise, home to more than 1,000 species of plants and animals. Our own Vance Harmon Park has basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, and more. Our other nearby parks feature boating ramps, picnic grounds, hiking trails, exercise facilities, and other recreational attractions. So get out, enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air, and take advantage of all there is to see and do in beautiful Poinciana.
Please note, all of Poinciana's parks, sports fields and courts are free for residents to use from dawn to dusk. However, if you wish to reserve any of these facilities for exclusive use there is a fee. Please call 863-427-0900 ext 501 for rates and availability.

Vance Harmon Community Park

Vance Harmon Park is one of Poinciana's oldest parks, but it is the most recent to be totally renovated.
Vance Harmon Park is the home of the Mary Jane Arrington Gym and Aquatic Center, which opened in May of 2017.
In addition, in March of 2018 the total renovation of the sporting fields, playgrounds, restrooms and walking paths was completed. The new additions to the park include dual small and large dog parks, outdoor exercise trails, and an amphitheater.

The Association of Poinciana Villages takes great pride in the completion of this project and the enhancement that it provides for the community.

Poinciana Community Playground
The Community Playground is located right between the Poinciana Activity Campus and the Administration building. This gated park is a perfect place to let the kids wind down after a day at the pool, or a perfect place to let them play while waiting for a spot at the pool. It is complete with a covered pavilion situated perfectly to watch the children play on the covered playground equipment or to enjoy a nice picnic lunch.
The pavilion in this park is available for reservations. For more information, please call 863-427-0900 ext. 501 or 701.
Darby Park is the perfect place to stop and let the kids work off some of that pent up energy after a long day at school. The little ones will enjoy the playground and the older ones can shoot some hoops on the basketball court. Picnic tables are also available.

A Village 2 Park
If you are looking for a sporting park you need not look any further than Deerwood Park. This 35 acre, lighted park is filled with the sounds of cracking bats and the cheers of the proud parents and spectators. The basketball courts are also a favorite of the community.

A Village 7 Pocket Park
Halibut Park is one of our “Pocket Parks” in Poinciana, which are small playgrounds targeted for specific neighborhoods. Featuring a playground for ages 4 - 12, it is a great place to stop for a bit and let the kids run free because this playground is totally gated.

Village 2 Sporting Park and Playground
Charlie Wheeler Park is another one of our sporting field parks. But, unlike Deerwood Park, it also has a playground for the little ones to enjoy while big brother or sister is on the softball field practicing.
As with all our parks and sporting fields, Charlie Wheeler Park can be reserved and used by calling 863-427-0900 ext. 701.
Andrew's Park

a Village 5 Pocket Park
The Andrew Aaron Rivera Park is on Bordeaux Road. Andrew's Park is referred to as a "Pocket Park," as it is set in the middle of a solely residential area in Village V. This fenced park includes: playground equipment designed for 2 to 5 year olds and 6 to 12 year olds, picnic tables, seating areas, and shade structures.
The park, which opened in July of 2015, was dedicated in memory of Andrew Aaron Rivera. This young Poinciana resident tragically lost his life in an automobile accident.
Lake Marion Marina
Poinciana's Diamond in the Rough
This park has truly earned its nickname as Poinciana's diamond in the rough. This absolutely breathtaking area has so much potential and it is only a matter of time before you will see some amazing improvements to this park.
Poinciana veteran's Memorial Park
Poinciana Memorial Park is located at 401 Walnut Street in adjacent to the Administration Building. Dedicated to our brave men and women of the military. Every year LifeStyles hosts our Veterans Day Ceremony and Community Picnic in honor of all our Veterans. Beautifully located in front of the Poinciana Fountains with Benches and pampered landscaping, Poinciana Memorial Park is a perfect place to sit and reflect.
